Hot Springs, AR singer/songwriter Laura Lynn Danley has a true passion for the written word. An accomplished essayist and poet, she has spent a lifetime meticulously documenting the events of her Earth's journey. When her hopeful perspective and unique observations are blended into elegant music, audiences are treated to poignant and purposeful songs reminiscent of such folk icons as Judy Collins, Janis Ian, and Joni Mitchell.

Laura's songwriting career began in earnest in 2004. While performing musical theater in Little Rock, AR, she met fellow songwriter Rena Wren, and in 2006 the two friends combined their writing talents to record "Maybe Today..." with their new band Firefly. This collection of indie-pop songs (described as having an “upside-down '70's sound”) contained Laura's compositions "Mirror The Moment" and "Brick By Brick".  In 2008, Laura recorded her first solo project, a countryesque/pop offering containing current audience favorites "Back To The Flow," "Round and Round," and "Old Woman ( Who Lives By The Sea)".

More recently, Laura has been a performing member of The Rena Wren Band, while also contributing background vocals for Wren's latest CD. In addition, she has been a featured solo performer at music festivals and songwriter showcases across the country, including the prestigious Frank Brown International Songwriter Festival in Perdido Key, FL. Laura is currently playing dates across Arkansas with fellow singer/songwriters Justin Patterson and Gene Reid, and is at work on a new collection of original songs tentatively titled "Facilitate The Getalong", to be completed in 2012.
